Lakota Local Schools choose 2X ThinClientServer

We implemented 2X a little over a year ago with great results!

As Ohio’s largest suburban school district and 7th largest school district, we are constantly working to get the most for our technology investments. 2X allowed us to leverage ‘thin’ technology at a reasonable price, something its competitors cannot boast. With over 600 Thin Clients deployed throughout 12 buildings and more coming soon, we are able to centrally manage a handful of servers, instead of supporting hundreds of computers. And with no moving parts in our Thin Clients, if one fails, a building staff member can simply replace it within minutes with a spare, and minimal instructional time is lost.

This support time savings has allowed us to streamline support and further implement our systems central management support philosophy. 2X also listens to its customers. Many of our students utilize flash drives for school work. While these functioned when we originally purchased 2X, they were not hot swappable. Less than a year later, they offered this feature, along with several other new valuable features.

We’ve tested and implemented a few “Thin” solutions over the years, and 2X has proven to be the smoothest to implement and the most feature rich for the price.
