Installing The Required Roles

RADIUS (Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service)is an authentication and accounting network protocol that authorize remote access machines to connect with a central server to authenticate dial-in users and allow their access to the requested system or service

This document explains how to integrate Radius as a 2nd Level Authentication provider to 2X ApplicationServer XG 10.5 or higher. For simplicity we will use Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 Radius.

The first part of this document will explain how to setup Radius configurations on the Windows 2008 R2 server. Please note that if you are using a different Radius server this configuration will be different.

  1. Server Manager > Roles >Right Click > Add Roles

  1. Enable the following role services during installation: Network Policy and Access Services

  1. Select Network Policy Server and Routing & Remote Access Services

  1. Click Install
