Adding a New Connection
The connections screen lists all of your Parallels 2X and RDP connections. You can add a new connection, edit an existing connection or delete an existing connection on the Connections screen.
To add a New connection, tap on the ‘+’ icon.
To delete a connection, tap on the Edit button in the upper left hand corner of the screen.
To edit an existing connection, tap on the Edit function on the connection in the list.
The very first time that you open the Parallels 2X RDP app for iOS, no connections will be detected. You will be prompted to tap on the ‘+’ icon to add a new Parallels 2X Remote Application Server connection or a new Standard RDP Connection.
Choose to configure a new Parallels 2X Remote Application Server connection or a new RDP Connection.
Adding a New Parallels 2X Remote Application Server connection
Enter an Alias name that describes your iOS Parallels 2X Remote Application Server connection. The ‘Alias’ will give the connection a display name for better readability.
*Primary/ Secondary Server
Enter the primary server name or IP address of the connection. This should be the name or IP where the Parallels 2X Secure Client Gateway resides. The secondary gateway will be used as a failover should the primary fail.
Enter the port number. For all Parallels 2X Remote Application Server connections the Default port is 80 or 443.
Enter your account user name, i.e.: user@domain. For a iOS Parallels 2X Remote Application Server connection the Password is not required, but for best security you should enter a password during login. Your username and password should not exceed 127 characters.
