2X ApplicationServer XG (NeXt Generation) Kicks Off a New Era of Virtual Application and Desktop Delivery

We are excited to announce today’s release of 2X ApplicationServer XG (Next Generation). From a technology standpoint, this new 2X release is a huge leap forward, simplifying desktop and application virtualization for enterprises of all sizes.
2X ApplicationServer XG combines the best in application delivery and virtual desktop (VDI) management by allowing administrators to publish applications and virtual desktops from an all-in-one platform, integrating seamlessly with virtually any virtualization platform (Microsoft Terminal Server and Hyper-V, VMware ESX, Citrix Xen and others) and delivering applications and desktops to PCs, netbooks, notebooks, smartphones, mobile devices, thin clients, and more.
2X ApplicationServer XG includes all of the features of 2X ApplicationServer for Terminal Services PLUS 2X VirtualDesktopServer and replaces both products. With the release of 2X ApplicationServer XG, 2X VirtualDesktopServer and 2X ApplicationServer will be discontinued. Enjoying additional functionality, all 2X customers can thus significantly increase the ROI of their 2X installation without any additional investment required.
Some points to note about the release:
- Customers with valid 2X ApplicationServer Upgrade Insurance and all 2X VirtualDesktopServer customers will automatically receive a free upgrade to 2X ApplicationServer XG.
- Additionally, 2X VirtualDesktopServer customers will receive an extra year of Upgrade Insurance free of charge.
- 2X ApplicationServer XG Upgrade Insurance will now be 25% of MSRP, rather than the current 30% of MSRP price. New 2X ApplicationServer XG licenses will include the first year of Upgrade Insurance FREE.
- Customers without current Upgrade Insurance can purchase 2X ApplicationServer XG at a 30% discount for 4 weeks after its release.
