Temporary File Issue

Hello,

I'm having an issue which is causing much frustration. We stream Office, Adobe PDF, but keep the browser local; we don't stream Internet Explorer, because of Flash, etc. When they click on a hyperlink that is NOT a UNC, it will freeze up. This will eventually load, but takes quite some time. I know the problem is that it's loading in the temporary directory, but is there a fix for this? There seems to be quite a delay between a browser having to load it up in the temporary directory and contacting 2X. There's even a delay on the LAN environment with the 2X servers.

I'm using 2X Control Version: 6.1.7601 and ApplicationServer: Version 9.0 (Build 1061)
I have mostly Windows 7 as the OS, but some XP & Vista, with the same results.
The ApplicationServer is a mix of Windows 2008 SP2 and Windows 2008 R2 SP1, all servers are x64.

I've tried multiple Internet Explorer versions: 7,8 and 9. I also tried Firefox and Google Chrome, with the same results.

Ginex,

I do have the redirect URLs to this computer selected. I tried it with redirect on and off, but it appears to act the same. It always routes it to the \\TSCLIENT\C\Users\Name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\etc.....

Wouldn't the redirect URL only work if the browser was being controlled by 2X too?

I don't use IE5. I'm on a Windows 7 Professional 32-bit install with IE 9. "Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5]" has been the default location since at least Windows XP. Don't let the name fool you.

Windows does this by default, so I don't see how a GPO would interfere with temporary files. I don't even think you can redirect temporary files without some registry tweaking. Moving the temporary files off the local machine would not be the smartest thing to do either.
