connecting thinclient server to AD

The 2X ThinClientServer allows the conversion of outdated PCs to energy-efficient, cost-effective thin clients, while simultaneously providing centralized thin client management controls.

During the initial configuration, using the latest build of ThinClient server, when I attempt to use AD authentication, I get the following error after entering my credentials:

"Error 8:Strong(er) authentication required"

I have tried several AD accounts including the domain administrator and have resulted with the same error.

Hi there,

during the 2xThinClientServer installation you have bind the system to an AD. The 2x software doesn't have own authentication features. Everything is done by the AD.

The problem you mention seems to be on the AD side or on the terminal server side.

Please check this out.

Kind regards,

Well, being that I'm still in the initial setup wizard, there is not yet a terminal server. So, where abouts in AD should I start looking for something that would cause the initial bind to AD to return such an error in 2x?

I guess my question is, what policies or settings need to be enabled in AD to allow 2X to talk to it? We have a locked down environment, and simply using admin rights doesn't work as they have been changed from the default.
