Terminal Server Agent: "Agent not found"

Postby Lee_K_81 » Thu Jul 12, 2007 10:31 am

I'm trying to evaluate your product, but I am having REAL trouble getting it working. I have the 2X application Server & Load balancer installed on a server and the Terminal Server Agent installed on 2 MS TS. Under the "Terminal Servers" secction in the console it shows the servers in farm but, under agent state says "Agent not found"; However under the information section it lists both servers as being load balanced, and effectively load balances the published apps, however i'm not having much luck with load balancing RDP connections.

Ok, fixed it. For anybody else who finds this problem it is that the agent binds to the 1st NIC, the console seemed to be checking the second NIC. Once i entered the IP address of the 1st NIC it found the agent straight away. Hope this helps somebody else.

Same here. I'm testing version 10.1. The servers have 2 NICs bonded, so there is just one IP address. No matter what I use, IP address or host name, whenever I around the interface I get the pop-up saying that the agent needs to be installed or updated, despite that it's already installed.
Using the IP address didn't work in my case.
