Please stop your Dhcp service and try standalone dhcp server Tftpd32.
I've done that to use an XP as test server.

This will point out where the problem is...
You might also own a layer 2 switch that has broadcast flooding control enabled.
World got 6 strings.

Yeah, i will try it.

But how can i set my DHCP Options like "066 StartFile" or "067 Hostname of the the Startserver", "193 thinsrv" in Tftpd32 ? Found no Option in the GUI.
I use the latest Version 3.33.

Thanks!

You DON'T need to set the DHCP options in the DHCP server.

As I said previously, use the DHCP helper instead. It will do all the job of sending out the option 66,67 and 193 values.

* your right - sorry
Ok we have here the SAME problem with the Tftpd32 as with the normal W23k DHCP-Server -> X11R6.

Threre is also no Switch here with flooding Problems or something else, most of the Clients i tested are on the same swtich.
As i told before e90 Neoware works with 6.1 on the same Network, same Switch, same DHCP Options, same Image...
Here is the Tftpd32 Log

I enabled the DebugModus again for the t5525 client and tested it also with the Tftpd32 DHCP Server - then the client boots without Errors.
There MUST be a big/small/corious difference between the default Startup Modus and the Debug Modus, i am sure!

Why does it boot successfully if i enable Debug Modus ?

Did you try removing the DHCP options from the DHCP server and using the DHCP helper instead ?

If yes this is a weird issue I must say.
You can try to change the terminal by pressing CTRL+ALT+F3

Hit enter

And see if you got an ip by typing:
Code: Select all
 ifconfig eth0

I will try this, too!
But i mean i tested it already two days before.
And see if you got an ip by typing:
Code:
ifconfig eth0

And this is exactly the Problem! There is no eth0, only "lo" for the localhost itself.

Oh!

Crap. That means driver not loaded in the first place.
Type:
Code: Select all
lspci

and give me the output of the hardware IDs of your nic card. Let me see if I can find something similar

As i suggested earlier your NIC isn't recognized...
That's bad. But you can stop searching the problem...
And wait until 2X comes out with another OS Image.

What NIC does you TC have ?
According to you lspci screen, it's a Via Rhine II (should habe SouthBridge 8237B)
World got 6 strings.

Yes!
That's bad.

Of course, this is really bad, but the funny thing is that it works in debug Modus
And wait until 2X comes out with another OS Image.

Yeah, hope the new Version fix that Problem.

Not sure, but this could be.

Of course rafelbev, you get time.

Just for Info:

Not sure if there was a change to the new 2X ThinClientOS v6.1.5378 for this Error. If so, than it doesn´t work. Still the same problem.

Seems to me there was a change in the new OS 5381 with the manually IP input. But the problem that there is no Network-Card still exist in this Image with the t5525.

Is there a way we get the card correct loading ?
