New features in 2X ThinClientServer v.3

Publish Windows applications on to the thin client, not whole desktops

• 2X ThinClientOS now includes a secure, read only desktop, which allows you to define exactly which Citrix or 2X published applications a user has access to. No need to give a user a whole windows desktop and then have to lock down the desktop for each user.

Improved configuration

• Its now possible to edit settings for multiple thin clients at a time
• VGA driver and mouse settings can now be set per ThinClientOS

Easier installation

• A new DHCP helper service allows 2X ThinClientServer to interopate with any DHCP server without requiring any changes to the DHCP configuration
• Remote users - connecting via the internet - can now boot a thin client & download client settings by entering the ThinClientServer server name or IP

Improved redundancy and load balancing

• 2X ThinClientOS is now able to retrieve client settings from any server in the '2X ThinClientServer Farm'

Improvements to the 2X ThinClientOS

• Advanced Network booting: If the thinclient has storage capacity, 2X ThinCLientOS will only download a new image if changes were detected. This improves boot time and reduces network load.
• Supports multiple Citrix published desktops - a user can select between different Citrix desktops
• Boot up time of the thin client OS is now up to 75% faster
